MCHS Indoor Grow Lighting Trials

Morinville Community High School Urban Agriculture students have been conducting grow light trials to find out which types of lights work best for indoor edible plant growing.  There are a variety of grow lights and available research is either geared towards greenhouses using grow lighting for supplemental light, or towards illegal drug operations.  Students have been investigating which lights work best in a classroom setting where there is no natural sunlight, and balancing that against energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.  Student conclusions will be presented below:
